Friedrich Nietzsche and Karl Rove….Not So Different

Some philosophers have presented the viewpoint claiming that ethical beliefs function solely for the dominant classes to enforce on the less dominant classes.  The assumption is that popular ethical beliefs are those which, if followed by the majority of people, are in the interests of the “Bourgeoisie” dominant class.  I would give you the example of the society in the book, “Brave New World,” where the Betas, Gammas, Deltas, and the even more witless Epsilons class stratifications of that society were there to solely serve the upper stratification of the Alpha classes.

Another “point of view” example is from the writings of the German philosopher, “Friedrich Nietzsche,” who believed that morality is just a fictional application used by the herd mentality of inferior human beings to hold back the few superior men … Of course it’s worth noting that he also died of syphilis.

The Socioeconomic Status in the United States can be broken down roughly into six social classes:

1. Upper class

2. New money

3. Middle class

4. Working class

5. Working poor

6. Poverty level

With this past 2012 election we have just seen the narcissistic hubris, of what I have just spoken about above applied to Karl Rove, the Koch Brothers, and Mitt Romney, just to mention a few.

Today Karl Rove now has to answer to a lot of big money donors to Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign based on the assurance from Karl that with enough money he could deliver a Conservative Republican win.

Many citizens across the country noted the true and exposing Freudian reactional aspects of Karl Rove when even Fox News announced that Ohio had gone for President Obama.  The shock and disbelief was beyond what Karl could accept as he was sure Ohio was going to report that they had gone for Mitt Romney.  After all, 100’s of Millions of dollars had been spent in this state alone to assure a Mitt Romney win.  Some for legal purposes….maybe some for questionable illegal purposes.

As it had been well reported and documented of the attempt in states such as Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and many other states across the country, of purging the voting rolls of those who would not be voting for the Conservative platform, tampered and rigged e-voting machines, plus complemented with the intimidation letters sent to many voters in the attempt to keep them from the voting polls.

Just as the normal pitfall of any criminal mind there is the subconscious desire to repeat what had worked before…..i.e. police detectives refer to it as “modus operandi.”

Just as the Republicans purged the voting rolls in Florida in 2000, which allowed W. Bush to take that state and thus the Presidential Election.  Then in 2004 the Diebold e-voting machines were tampered with to flip those who voted for Kerry to flip and show up as a vote for W. Bush once again giving him that Presidential win.  But just like any other dumb criminal, this is what Karl Rove attempted once again , funded by many to the likes of the Koch Brothers, and of course Mitt Romney’s son purchasing the e-voting machines that serviced the Cincinnati, OH area.  I liken this as a bank robber coming back to rob the exact same bank because it worked so well last time.

My complements to all the voting poll judges across the country to be aware and on the lookout for repeating the exactly same thing the Republican Party has done in the past to steal an election, and made sure it did not happen again this year.  Their goal was fair and accurate ballots were going to be cast!!

Just as “Friedrich Nietzsche,” thought he was above the Social Morals of society in his time, Karl Rove, Koch Brothers, and of course Mitt Romney, thought they are above the Social Morals of our time and the insistence to promote the upper 1% (the old and new money upper classes) and let those of us below this social economic stratifications to support their “Elite and Privileged Lifestyles.”

Well to their surprise and demise…..the majority citizens of this country did not fall for the scam!

I would also add that just like Nietzsche….. I think Karl Rove should also die of syphilis!!  He deserves nothing less.  Then on the other hand….Karl has to answer to a lot of wealthy and powerful men of how he failed with all of their “Billions of Dollars” they had invested with him for this election.  That result maybe worse than syphilis!!  🙂

You are wishing that Karl gets syphilis and dies, Mr. Engineer? Touching, but, I find that rather unimaginative of you. Could we at least wait until he and Rush Limbaugh announce their upcoming engagement and then the vicious struggle which would inevitably ensue on their wedding night over who gets to take the Viagra? Then they both could die of syphilis.

    Hello Microdot,
I concede to your well and thoughtful recommendation.

It is good to hear from you friend. 🙂

    Ohio-2004 versus Minnesota-2012

My sister lives in Ohio and voted in 2004 … at the local school which contained two precincts … she stood in line, in the rain, waiting to vote because her precinct did not have enough voting machines — all the while watching other people come and go that were voting in the same building but in a different precinct. Once, the state changed the rules to allow early voting, she goes during the first week and is in and out in minutes.
Additionally, the 2004 Ohio ballot had the question of same sex marriage …. driving people to the polls.

Now, in Minnesota, we do not allow no-excuse early voting but we do have same-day registration. This year, the voters had a chance to amend the state constitution defining marriage (as well as a Voter ID requirement). If you have not heard, both amendments were rejected by the voters (the first time that any state rejected a change in marriage definition.) In addition, the Democrats who lost both houses in the state legislature in 2010 (largely because the Dem-supporters did not participate while the MN-GOP did), returned to control in 2012. The MN-GOP is now acknowledging that they made a mistake by putting the Amendments on the ballot … it drove up voter participation … especially on college campuses.
It’s all about turnout and suppression.

Second observation, it is not just Ohio that Rove tried to influence election and lost, but other state contests.
I look to our west … to North Dakota … a state that is as reliably Republican as Utah in the presidential vote … but look what happened in the ND Senate contest … Many pundits had all but written off Democrat Heidi Heitkamp’s campaign in North Dakota, where Karl Rove’s American Crossroads super PAC flooded the airwaves with attack ads with a total price tag of $2 million. Her challenger was a established Congressman … Heitkamp won.
In Wisconsin’s Senate race, Tammy Baldwin faced a Republican opponent with more name-recognition, former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson, who also got backed with $2.7 million in Crossroads money. Baldwin’s victory also broke down a major barrier; she’ll be the first openly gay person to serve in the Senate.
We know that Crossroads, American Action Network, American Future Fund, etc. spent a ton of money on Congressional contests. Heck, I bet AFF is really teed-off after spending money against Kyrsten Sinema in AZ-09 … who apparently will be the first House Member that is bi-sexual.

Yep, the world is changing …. some are moving Forward … while some want to Restore Our Yesterday (when Rove was always right … you go, Turd Blossum.)

Rove is embarrassed and in disarray. No matter how he tries to spin it, he has epically failed.

One of two things will happen — either the same people will spend even MORE money next time (although possibly NOT funneling it through Rove) OR, they will spend much, much less.

My best bet on this is that they will spend even MORE money in the 2014 election, but will continue to lose IF we can continue to turn out the same voters that we did this election. Also, it is likely the economy will be better, based on what we know now (obviously subject to change with new information). THAT has to help liberals.

Based on the election results from this election cycle, I’m hoping that there will be the political will to pass a federal constitutional amendment that will undo Citizens United.

      Hi DogGone !
Two thoughts … are the low-information voters beginning to get turned off by the negative commercials such that they are now hearing the FactCheckers instead ?
Second, your concern is valid that they may spend more in 2014 … the reason is that they will not have the distraction of a Presidential contest. Remember what happened in the Tom Daschele – John Thune contestin which the outside money helped defeat the Majority Leader … it wasn’t just that they defeated the Majority Leader, but they also gained one Senate seat for shaping policy. The Senate is a scary place with Jim DeMint, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Jim Imofe, etc. …. then throw in wishy-washy Hatch, Grassley, etc … and you have stalemate.

How much will Norm Coleman’s American Action Network and Karl Rove’s Crossroads group spend to defeat Al Franken ? Franken’s target is so BIG since he will be the poster boy to attract Sheldon Adelson, the Koch Brothers, etc. monies. Especially, if Erik Paulsen (the Math guy) and “his clean-cut, working with Democrats for Minnesota” image is the challenger.

Now, consider the money that Michelle Bachmann spent to defend her seat (minimum $10 million) in which 355,151 voters participated equates to over $28 per voter. My gut tells me that Bachmann spent all the money herself without any Rove/Coleman money.
The Rove/Coleman folks will realize that they can target selected districts and change the race … it happened in 2010 in the Dan Lungren and Ami Bera California Congressional election. Bera, the Democrat was surging in the polls against the Republican incumbent when an “outside group” brought up airtime in the last week and changed the outcome. In a rematch, this time it appears that Bera will win …. you gotta wonder if Rove hadn’t wasted all that money on Romney, how many Congressional seats they could have bought.

Hey buddy, hope everything is well in Columbus. I will not beat around the bush here. I am confused. You wrote:
““Friedrich Nietzsche,” who believed that morality is just a fictional application used by the herd mentality of inferior human beings to hold back the few superior men … Of course it’s worth noting that he also died of syphilis”…………………………..
Maybe my brain is not comprehending this properly, but could we argue that Nietzsche’s thoughts on morality could be placed on the Tea Party, Ultra religious groups?

Happy Veterans Day E. Thank you for defending my freedoms. You are a great man, and a better friend………… 🙂

    Hello Minnesota Central,
First off thank you for stopping by. I always enjoy your comments. The information you passed on was great.

  8. Engineer Of Knowledge Says:

    Hello Dog Gone,
I am with you that those who donated to Rove with just spend even MORE money in the 2014……but not through Rove. He has blown his credibility with them.

As you have also stated that bottom line, it is all about the message and the political platform. The Republican Party has a lot of soul searching to do in the next two years.

  9. Engineer Of Knowledge Says:

    Hello J.O.B.
Thank you for the Happy Veterans Day wishes and the kind words my friend.

You are correct that Nietzsche’s views of being above the social morals could be applied to anyone who thinks that the common considerations for others do not apply to them.

Another example that comes to mind is Jimmy Swaggart, the family married man, who preached of the sins of the flesh but then went and paid a prostitute to masturbate in front of him in the front seat of his car while he jerked off too…..that’s when the police officers found them……TWICE!!! The second time after his crying apology to God on his Sunday Church show.

When he as asked about this second indiscretion, his indigent reply was that he talked with God and they don’t need to worry about it. Obviously the respect for his wife, children, his congregation, and the social morals of infidelity just did not apply to him personally.
